Sundarbans Field Visit (Optional Excursion)

As part of the ISG–ISRS National Symposium 2025, the ISG Kharagpur Chapter is pleased to organize a special field visit to the Sundarbans, one of the world’s most unique and ecologically significant mangrove ecosystems. This excursion is designed to provide participants with first-hand exposure to geospatial applications in fragile environments, complementing the technical sessions of the symposium.

Details of the Trip:

• Date & Time: November 28, 2025
• Departure at 5:30 AM from Kolkata; return by 7:00 PM to Kolkata on the same day
• Fee: ₹1400/- per participant
• Inclusions:
• To-and-fro bus pick-up and drop from the National Symposium venue
• Breakfast, lunch, and tea with biscuits served on the launch during the trip
• Highlights:
• Exploration of the Sundarbans landscape and waterways
• Interaction with experts on ecological and geospatial aspects of the region
• A unique opportunity to experience the natural heritage of India while networking with peers
